Ângela Barreto Xavier published the book capter “1567-1583: Massacre de Cuncolim”, in the book Religião e mulheres. Resistências nos Impérios Ibéricos, 1500-1850, edited by Mafalda Soares da Cunha, António Camões Gouveia and Moreno Pacheco. it was published by CIDEHUS UÉVORA, CHAM NOVA and PPGH-UFBA. This book is especially aimed at introducing young people and children to different forms of resistance and rebellion in the Iberian Empires, related to women or to the impacts of conversion and disciplining. It was developed under the project Rebellion and Resistance in the Iberian Empires, 16th-19th centuries, funded by the European Union, through the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Grant Agreement No 778076.
