Since 2015 this leads to the organization of our EMPIRES <strong>biannual international conferences<\/strong> aimed at fostering innovative research agendas in the field. The conference \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/resistanceandempir.wixsite.com\/resistanceandempire\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Resistance and Empire<\/strong><\/a>\u201d was held in 2016. In 2018 we organised and hosted an international conference on \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/slavesubjectivitie.wixsite.com\/slavesubjectivities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Slave Subjectivities<\/strong><\/a>\u201d (in collaboration with Casa Velasqu\u00e9z). &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/petitionsics.wixsite.com\/website-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Petitions<\/strong><\/a>&#8221; was also held in 2018.
