Abstract:
\n<\/strong>This project is interdisciplinary and combines sociocultural anthropology, history, post-colonial studies, audiovisual arts, and ethnomusicology. The object of the investigation are Angolan sound and musical collections produced during late Portuguese colonialism in Angolan rural territories, a heritage that has not yet been studied and disseminated. Through archival research, oral history and ethnographic and collaborative fieldwork, this project aims to respond, above all, to the need to include the diverse voices, memories, and knowledge of Angolans about these collections that were produced in colonial contexts of deeply unequal power relations, relying on decolonial research methodologies that aim to contribute to a sense of cognitive justice and historical reparation.<\/p>\n
