\"\"Kevin Carreira Soares (PIUDHist\/ICS-UL) <\/a>presented the paper “La creaci\u00f3n de los obispados y la territorializaci\u00f3n de los imperios ib\u00e9ricos en Asia. Siglos XVI y XVII”, at the Workshop “Conflictos y resistencias: el mundo atl\u00e1ntico como escenario de negociaci\u00f3n del poder econ\u00f3mico, pol\u00edtico y social, siglos XVI-XIX”<\/a>, which took place at the Central Library of the Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (UNICEM), on 17 and 18 August 2023, in Tandil, Argentina.<\/p>\n

This conference is part of the activities developed by members of the Research Group\u00a0Imp\u00e9rios, Colonialismo e Sociedades P\u00f3s-Coloniais<\/strong><\/a> of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon, who are on a Research Exchange period at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata in Argentina. For around 30 days, they will take part in various activities in Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil, in close cooperation with the local academic community.<\/p>\n

Participating in the activities are \u00c2ngela Barreto Xavier (ICS-UL)<\/a>, Isabel Corr\u00eaa da Silva (ICS-UL)<\/a>, Joana Fraga (ICS-UL)<\/a>, Kevin Carreira Soares (PIUDHist\/ICS-UL)<\/a>, e\u00a0Nuno Gon\u00e7alo Monteiro (ICS-UL)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

These activities take place within the framework of the project Rebellion and Resistance in the Iberian Empires, 16th-19th centuries<\/b><\/a>, which has received funding from the European Union, through the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Grant Agreement No 778076.
