Abstract: Focused on the SCCI (Serviços de Centralização e Coordenação de Informações/ Information Centralisation and Coordination Services), in Angola, Mozambique and Guinea, the research project aims at developing the first broad comparative study tackling colonial intelligence during the Portuguese late colonial period. It examines the historical trajectory of the SCCI, placing it within the framework of imperial policymaking and administration, as well as it scrutinises and assesses the role played by these intelligence agencies throughout the liberation wars.
